Trailhead Treatment Center in Salem, NH is built and led by people in recovery. Our leadership team brings lived experience alongside clinical credentials because the best care comes from people who understand addiction and mental health from both sides. Trailhead is recovery-owned and operated.
Co-Founder and COO (BS, RN, CARC)
Caitlin is a BSN-prepared nurse case manager with a background in mental health and substance use, along with five years of experience as a certified recovery coach. She also holds a degree in business from UMass Amherst, which has informed her role in helping bring Trailhead to life. Her connection to this work is both professional and personal, shaping how she builds trust and supports those she works with.
She played a key role in developing Trailhead, helping shape a program that integrates clinical care with movement, nature, and overall wellness. As a former yoga instructor, Caitlin designed Trailhead's yoga and breathwork programming from direct teaching experience.
Outside of her clinical work, Caitlin is a marathoner and former yoga instructor who spends much of her time outdoors. That perspective carries into the environment at Trailhead, where care is designed to feel active, balanced, and connected to real life.

Clinical Director
Alysia LaGambina is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a strong therapeutic foundation in adult mental health and addiction treatment. With experience across outpatient therapy settings and many years as a public health social worker, she brings a holistic, trauma-informed perspective to her work, recognizing the complex interplay between mental health, environment, and lived experience.
Alysia is known for her empathic, grounded approach, creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported in meaningful change. She values connection, resilience, and whole-person care. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the beach or hiking, where she finds balance and renewal.
Behavioral Health Technician
Lauryn graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a degree in Psychology and plans to continue her education by pursuing a Master's in Social Work at Merrimack College.
She has experience working in ABA therapy, supporting children and teens in developing everyday skills, which has shaped her ability to meet people where they are and provide patient, individualized support. She is also involved with Hands for Healing Equine, where she helps care for the horses and supports the organization's outreach.
Outpatient Clinician
Kaylee holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is currently working toward her Master's in Psychology. She has experience working as a Recovery Counselor in an inpatient setting, where she facilitated both individual sessions and a variety of therapeutic groups.
Her group work has included art and music-based therapy, coping skills, and psychoeducation. She also has experience with family engagement, helping loved ones better understand the recovery process and strengthen support systems.
Trailhead prioritizes hiring people who understand addiction and mental health from personal experience alongside clinical qualifications. Recovery experience is valued at every level, from leadership to direct care staff.
This is not a corporate facility. There are no investors setting the agenda. Caitlin and Mike founded Trailhead because they watched people struggle to find outpatient care that felt personal, warm, and grounded in real understanding. So they built one, and they hired a team that reflects the same values: Clinical Director Alysia LaGambina, LICSW, Behavioral Health Technician Lauryn Dullea, and Outpatient Clinician Kaylee Gallagher all bring clinical training grounded in hands-on experience.
Our clinical team, led by Alysia LaGambina, LICSW, uses evidence-based therapies including EMDR, CBT, movement-based therapies, and trauma-informed care. Treatment is integrated with holistic programming: yoga, reiki, sound therapy, breathwork, and meditation are part of the daily schedule, not add-ons.
Our clinical team delivers outpatient addiction and mental health treatment at multiple levels of care:
Trailhead holds dual licensure from the State of New Hampshire for both substance use disorder and mental health treatment. One team treats both, in the same program, at the same time.
Every client is assigned an individual therapist and a dedicated case manager on day one. Your therapist stays with you throughout treatment. Family sessions are conducted by your individual therapist weekly or bi-weekly to keep communication open between you and your loved ones.
If you've been through treatment before, that experience becomes part of your plan here. Our clinical team reviews your history and builds around what you've already learned. Call 603-458-0747 to talk through your options. Your call is confidential and pressure-free.
